Privacy policy
RoC Helper — Incidents, version 0.1.2. Updated: 16 October 2026.
Scope and purpose
This policy covers the RoC Helper Chrome extension. It displays incident timings and countdowns from Rise of Cultures locally in a side panel. Event rewards and predictions are disabled. No extension account is required.
Data accessed
The extension processes a copy of the HTTPS /game/startup response naturally received by a game tab on *.riseofcultures.com. This response may include account and game data unrelated to incidents; these are present transiently during decoding and are not retained as extension state. The player identifier is checked only within the live document to validate the response; it is not sent to the panel or background storage. Only incident definitions, locations, start and end times, the last reading time and reading status are retained.
Local storage and retention
Incident data is kept in the game document’s memory and Chrome session storage, separately for each tab and document. A new startup replaces the previous list. Closing or navigating the tab removes its background entry; closing the browser clears session storage. The panel asks the live document for its current state. Raw responses are buffered only temporarily for decoding and message ordering, not saved to files or persistent extension storage.
Sharing, analytics and automation
The extension sends no data to its author or other recipients. It contains no analytics, telemetry, advertising or remote executable code. It does not read cookies or authentication headers, issue its own game requests, collect rewards or perform game actions. Its use of data is limited to the incident display and copying requested by the user; data is not sold, used for advertising, credit decisions or unrelated purposes.
Permissions and clipboard
Access to *.riseofcultures.com allows the local observer to read the startup response. sidePanel displays the interface; storage holds tab state in Chrome session memory. Clicking Copy writes the incident list to the system clipboard. Clipboard contents may then be accessible to the operating system or other applications under their own permissions; the extension does not read the clipboard.
Your choices
Close or refresh the game tab to clear or replace its reading. Remove the extension through Chrome’s extension settings to stop access. Refreshing a tab while the extension remains enabled may immediately read a new startup. If you copy the list, manage or clear the clipboard through your operating system. The author has no server-side copy to access, export or delete.
Publisher and contact
Publisher: Piernic Software inc. Privacy and support contact: rochelper@gmail.com. Messages sent voluntarily to the publisher are separate from the extension’s automatic processing; do not send credentials or raw game sessions.
Website and other services
The local policy page makes no network requests. A publicly hosted copy is served by the website host, which may receive standard connection data such as an IP address and browser information under its own privacy policy. Chrome Web Store, Chrome and Rise of Cultures operate under their own policies. RoC Helper is an independent project, unaffiliated with the game publisher.
